Chalkers Crossing, a winemaker based in the cold-climate region of NSW, Australia, needed a number of items: updated wine labels, brochures, and a website. And for their emergence in the Chinese market, all of these things not only needed translating, but the design, look and feel needed to strongly support the Chinese market as well as the traditional Australian and European market.
Working with a highly talented Chinese translator based in the greater NYC area, I facilitated, designed and project-managed this task. We created a highly functional website in both English and Simplified Chinese, with an automatic redirection based on location. I also finalized a line of labels that were clean, highly functional and avoided too much white space (often a no-no for the Chinese market) as well as a brochure and tasting notes for the brand.
